The exhibition first took place in Japan in 2011 and has since visited Berlin, Düsseldorf, Milan, Seoul, São Paulo, Beijing, Tokyo, and Shanghai. The Lady Dior As Seen By exhibition consists of works by photographers and sculptors from around the world, each tasked with artistically interpreting the iconic Lady Dior bag model.
The project effectively blurs the line between design and art, involving both renowned and emerging local artists.
The exhibition features a total of 90 art objects: 36 sculptures and 54 photographs by 70 authors, including Ellen von Unwerth, Paolo Roversi, Patrick Demarchelier, Peter Lindbergh, Steve McCurry, GIMHONGSOK, Olympia Scarry, Recycle Group, and special young Russian artists invited for the Moscow project: Daniil Antropov, Anastasia Prakhova, 01001011 Studio, 0331°C, Alexander Egorov, Dasha Trofimova, and Alexey Kiselev. Each artist created a unique piece, inspired by the legendary model, transforming it in their own distinctive technique.
The co-curator of the Moscow exhibition is Nina Gomiashvili, an expert in photography, curator, and founder of one of Moscow’s first professional photo galleries, “Victory.”
